- 1 Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F)
- 2 Mix the sliced apples with the sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and lemon juice
- 3 Toast the breadcrumbs with the butter until golden
- 4 Lay 1 sheet of phyllo on a clean cloth and brush with melted butter
- 5 Stack the next sheet and brush with more butter — repeat until you have 6 layers
- 6 Sprinkle the toasted breadcrumbs evenly over the phyllo
- 7 Arrange the apple mixture along 1/3 of the phyllo sheet
- 8 Roll tightly using the cloth to help, then fold in the ends
- 9 Transfer to a baking sheet and brush the top with melted butter
- 10 Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and crispy
- 11 Let cool briefly, then dust with powdered sugar
- 12 Serve warm
